My first upload to freesound is a thunderstorm recorded in gateshead, uk, next to our open bathroom window. Some lovely thunderclaps and rain. Recorded on a zoom h5. There are also some household sounds swimming around in the background, doors closing, dishes clinking etc; i think you can hear the radio or something very faintly towards the end -- but there's plenty of clean usable thunder and rain in there. Incidentally i often use this type of thing in my long-form instrumental music, produced under the name conelrad. Santa's in a blizzard in the north pole! but you can still hear his bells! these bells were recorded on a windy day in the suburbs of michigan. These are your typical bronze bells being slammed against a glass window on a door as the door was being shut.

Walking through crunchy ice covered snow on a very cold day. I pant in the cold. The snow is not too thick, just a couple inches but it crunches like gravel. It was really cold.
